MASIVI – Deputy Minister of Finance Tjekero Tweya has urged eligible voters to reelect the Swapo Party during the upcoming elections so that it can finish all its envisioned projects for the prosperity of all.
“Although the choice is obvious who you will be voting for during the elections, Swapo is prepared to go into the election with the aim to overwhelmingly win it,” said Tweya during a Swapo Party rally at the Masivi village in the Rundu Rural West Constituency on Saturday.
He called on those who have strayed from the Swapo Party to come back, saying Swapo is not just a party during elections, but a party that is there to deliver whether there are elections or not.
Addressing over 600 community members, Tweya indicated that Swapo’s 2009 Election Manifesto is not about past projects, but a document that outlines what the party intends to do in the next five years.
He particularly appealed to those who are 18 years and older to take it as their responsibility as citizens to participate in the forthcoming November 2009 Presidential and National Assembly elections.
He furthermore announced during the rally that the 2009 Swapo Party election manifesto will soon be available in the Rukavango and Rukwangali dialects, as well as other Namibian vernaculars.
