Serious issues to contend with

The president of the National Democratic Party (NDP), Mr Martin Lukato Lukato, writes:

ON behalf of the National Democratic Party (NDP) with powers vested on me by the NDP Federal Constitution. The NDP president and the NDP as a whole has indentified the following serious issues which may affect the democracy and free and fair elections after the results will be announced by the ECN. Those mentioned evil factors are as follows:

The unfair allocation of airtime both on the radio and on TV by NBC. It’s unfair and tantamount to destroy and bury the freedom of democracy and multi-party system in Namibia.

The failure of some of the press and media institutions to accommodate all political parties contesting the election in their newspapers and not publishing the party history, profile, constitution, campaigning manifesto and party list of the candidates for the public.

The failure of the NBC to release the NDP activities since the formation of the party on the 9th February 2003 in order for the nation to know where it comes from and how it started even the two offices of the NBC are now throwing and pointing fingers to each other, the NBC regional Offices in Katima Mulilo Caprivi region reported back to the NDP that all covered NDP activities have been sent to the NBC headquarters in Windhoek for further editing and broadcast.

While after approaching the NBC headquarters leadership all denied to have been received NDP news or activities from Katima Mulilo NBC Regional Office, now the question is who will be responsible and accountable of broking and preventing the NDP news activities not to be broadcasted in the so-called state broadcasting corporation which the NDP regards it as Swapo NBC.

The continuously authorization of the Swapo Cabinet to use the resourses of the poor Namibians for campaigning strategy from January to January without delivering the services to the Namibian people, especially those who are affected and continue to live in poverty, hunger, starvation, under development, diseases, unemployment, high rate of crime, tribalism, discrimination etc. Is a serious concern of the NDP?

Mr Martin Lukato
The NDP has also identified that most of election polling officers employed by the ECN are full members of ruling party of Swapo which will be a questionable and needed answers.

The failure of the ECN to pay for the all political parties to travel to Johannesburg, South Africa to observe the printing of the ballot papers it’s a serious issue.

The failure of the Head of State and government not to deploy the security forces to our border lines in order to patrol and to maintain law and order, the prevention of crime, to guard the internal security of our country Namibia, for safety of the lives of our citizens and their property this is serious issues since 21st March 1990.

Criminals enter Namibia in and out, so this is the contribution of the current regime to promote criminality in Namibia.

Since the independence of this country only a few are enjoying and benefiting from the fruits of independence of Namibia. The rich become richer and poor become poorer this is concern of NDP.

Finally NDP brave president Martin Lukato Lukato is calling and appealing to all Namibians that time has come to reject the current regime which is in power, this regime it brought oppression, discrimination, tribalism, divide and rule tactics, corruption to mention only a few.

On the 27 and 28 November 2009 through your democratic choices on the ballot paper into the ballot boxes to vote for the national democratic party NDP.

NDP with a po erful slogan SELINAKO, the hour has come, it is time.

NDP is fighting for all rights of all ethnic groups of Namibia to enjoy and benefit from the fruits of the independence of Namibia equally and to share the resources equally.

Vote NDP to represent the voiceless, vote NDP for federal state system of government where all provinces or regions will have a full powers of their administration affairs.
