No coalition envisaged

Mr. Libolly L. Haufiku: RDP Director- General Administration, writes:

In reaction to front pages articles in the New Era of the 13th November 2009 and the Windhoek Observer of the 14th November 2009 about APP claims, the RDP wishes to put the record straight as follows:

RDP has never entertained the idea of forming a coalition with any political party, let alone APP.

The nation is hereby informed that neither RDP’s National Convention nor its Central Committee ever mandated the party to form coalitions. The RDP is rather mandated to deliver the nation from poverty, unemployment, destitution, corruption, poor housing, ignorance, hunger, disease and poor education system and health.

APP owes RDP an explanation as to how and where they managed to acquire RDP membership cards, since RDP has at one point in Rundu lost cards under mysterious circumstances. Another 50 cards disappeared while in possession of our party mobilizer Cde. Mandume Haihambo in Rundu – still under mysterious circumstances!

Forming a coalition is not a simple matter and RDP activists and mobilizers are fully informed about the party policy issues. The foot-soldiers of RDP are often provided with the principle guidelines on mobilisation and discussion about coalitions is not one of the guidelines given by the party.

On top of that, the RDP has a highly disciplined contingent of activists who will not allow themselves to be drawn into useless engagements.

Therefore, APP and others must just wake up to the reality that the RDP has made tremendous in-roads in the Kavango region heartland, hence the panic!

We finally call upon RDP members countrywide to go the polls on the 27 and 28 November to cast their votes. Together We Can Do Better!
