NID to the aid of parties

In co-operation with the Electoral Institute of Southern Africa (EISA), the Namibia Institute for Democracy (NID) has published the training manual Strengthening Political Party Representatives in Namibia.

The manual was compiled by Mr Victor Shale (EISA) and is available as a pdf. file for downloading on the NID website www. nid.org.na.

The training manual was utilised during a series of six two-day workshops that were offered by NID to all registered political parties in Namibia, 8th to 19th June 2009.

Presented by Victor Shale, the workshops aimed at equipping political parties with skills pertaining to leadership, how to strengthen their media profiles, how to strengthen democratic structures within the parties and how to campaign effectively throughout the entire election process. Altogether, 89 representatives of 12 political parties participated.
