Film series celebrating 20 years of Namibian independence

TO commemorate 20 years of Namibian independence, the Namibia Institute for Democracy (NID) offers the “Why democracy?” film series in co-operation with the Goethe Zentrum, the Franco Namibian Cultural Centre (FNCC) and the American Cultural Centre.

Produced by Steps International, ten award-winning documentaries and thirteen short films will be broadcast between March and October 2010.

Worldwide, the film series was launched in 2007 with the aim to stimulate a global discussion about contemporary democracy.
