The Congress of Democrats’ cadres who are hard at work in the north reports that SWAPO supporters under the leadership of a certain Kamuri, owner of Eenkoshi bar in Oshakati, burned a CoD flag in full view of the CoD fieldworkers.
The CoD is dismayed at the cowardly act of the SWAPO supporters in the country and calls on the police in the North to arrest the culprits with immediate effect. The CoD views this action as an act of intolerance of the highest order and it should be condemned forthwith by all stakeholders in the country. This action is a gross violation of the code of conduct to which SWAPO party is a signatory to.
The CoD also calls on the leadership of SWAPO to stop their members and supporters from engaging in the acts of intolerance that they are busy with. SWAPO’s action is clear evidence that they are scared of the might of the ballot and they are trying to intimidate other political parties into submission.
Hifikepunye Pohamba, Hage Geingob, Pendukeni Ithana and others should stop their tools of fear and intimidation from violating the laws of the country. SWAPO’s believe that they can create fear in the minds of the CoD members is wrong and the SWAPO leaders would have realized this if they were smart enough. They tried it since 1999 and they are just failing to scare us. They are a bunch of toothless bulldogs.
Pohamba and his cohorts in SWAPO should know that the CoD is a law abiding party and will defend the provisions of the Namibian constitution and Pohamba should learn a few lessons from us on the issue of political tolerance.
The CoD calls on the Minister of Justice who also doubles as the secretary-general of the scared SWAPO party to call her supporters and cohorts to order without any delay.
The CoD is aware that SWAPO and their cohorts are so scared of the elections this year and will try to do everything in their power to undermine the electoral process. The CoD was never, is not and will not be forced into submission by a bunch of misguided elements in society who are called SWAPO members.
Their actions will only serve to motivate us more as we march towards freeing the people of this country from the evil that SWAPO is. WE are not scared and we shall not be intimidated so SWAPO should stop wasting their time.
The CoD will campaign in every corner of this country for the benefit of all citizens of this country and SWAPO will have to learn to live with that. To hell with SWAPO and their intimidation tactics.
