Namibia's commitment to conservation commended

It was not by sheer luck that Namibia made it to the top.

This is a true reward of the country’s dedication and commitment to both conservation and empowerment, said Minister of Environment and Tourism regarding Namibia’s Communal Conservancy Tourism Sector nomination for World Travel Tourism Council’s (WTTC) Tourism for Tomorrow Award.

MR John Kasaona, chairman of the Kunene Conservancy Trust explained the valuable contributions made by the communal conservancy to the tourism sector in die country.

He is adamant that Namibia will walk away with the World Travel Tourisms Council’s (WTTC) Tourism for Tomorrow Award that will be announced during WTTC convention from 24 May 2010.

Namibia together with India and New Zealand are the three finalists in the community benefits category.
